Eye of Amur
There are only about 500 Siberian Tigers left in Russia and China. Their diminishment is due to hunting and deforestation. Siberian Tigers were thought to be the protectors of the forests in Russian folklore. This piece depicts the elusive tiger and the disappearing forests.
48" x 48". Acrylic ink on *paper. Unframed. Layers of translucent and opaque ink give these painting warmth and depth. Pen and ink is also used to sketch and illustrate details. Paper may have slight warping due to the moisture of the paint.
*Superior quality, cold pressed, 140 lb water color paper is used.
