Mortal Flight

Isn't it remarkable that something that seems so ethereal can end up stone cold on the ground, feet rigid, clinging to nothingness? I spent a period of time sketching these mortal, little angels. 

9" x 11". Pen and ink and watercolor on *paper. Unframed.
